anaperture

An Aperture is an opening or a window. This aperture allows you to reveal an infinitely scrollable surface using any image you wish, with full user control.

All parameters are totally customizable: The tile's scroll speed, the size and shape of the mask, and the elasticity of the springy stop.

The movie clip is modular so you can use as many of them as you want at the same time. You can even set up several different apertures in the same movie.

This example is at high quality, but the effect looks freakin amazing at low quality. Right click to try it in low quality. At high quality the performance definately suffers because of the masking used to implement the effect, but, hey, that's Flash.
